Nora O'Brien is a first-year PhD Student in Linguistics. Their current research interests fall within the fields of lavender linguistics and language policy. Specifically, they are interested in the linguistic experiences of trans and non-binary Spanish speakers and the Discourses around inclusive language use perpetuated by institutions like the Real Academia Española (RAE). They are also interested in language use within drag and burlesque communities.
