Major in Linguistics

Sophia Decker, a classics and linguistics Junior, took Latin classes in high school and taught herself Greek, came to UK with the career goal of becoming a professor of the classics. "I came to UK cause we have this very unique program where we actually discuss Latin literature in Latin. I came all the way from Los Angeles to Kentucky in order to experience that."
 
A degree in linguistics gives students excellent preparation for careers in computing and technology; clinical fields relating to speech and language; international business and education; publishing; and many other professions.
